Choose an experienced virtual emcee who will not only deliver well-rehearsed content but also have good communication skills.
Ensure there is enough time allocated for questions and answers during Q&A sessions.
Make sure the speaker is comfortable using technology such as Skype/Google Hangouts etc.
Have a clear agenda beforehand so everyone understands their role and responsibilities.
Provide ample notice before the session starts. This gives people plenty of time to prepare themselves.
Be flexible on timings – some speakers may need more time than others.
If possible, provide a link where participants can download any materials related to the presentation.
Don’t forget to thank all those who attended the event. It shows appreciation which makes them feel valued.
Keep track of feedback after the event. You’ll get valuable insights into areas that could use improvement.
Finally, make sure you enjoy yourself while delivering the talk. The audience will appreciate this too 🙂
